What a great show!
More than 23,000 people came along to the 2008 East Midlands Nanotechnology Roadshow as we visited the region’s major cities on weekends from April to July. Our nano pods were full of fascinating stuff that demonstrated the power of nanotechnology and included a Lotus car simulator, the incredible NanoMan, computer games, experiments, films, competitions and much more.
All the universities in the region made a massive contribution to the roadshow, with each event featuring something different. In Nottingham, visitors got the chance to build medicine, while those in Lincoln got to see how fingerprinting worked. There was a Nintendo Wii-inspired music and video spectacular in Derby, a nanodog in Leicester and in Loughborough there was a chance to see how nano is helping asthma sufferers.
Thanks again to everyone who came and if you missed out, don’t worry, we’ve captured all the best bits for this website. We hope to see you again soon!
